Upgrade to Django 1.4.1
Upgraded to Django 1.4.1.
There were a lot of small things to change, but after 3 hours the site is working again.
Not sure yet what I need to do about changing to class-based views.

Django upgrade to 1.2
Today I upgraded the site to Django 1.2 (actually 1.2.1).
The upgrade was made without any changes to the site’s code, which reflects the fact that this is an extremely simple website.

Django upgrade to 1.1
I upgraded the site to Django 1.1.
There were some short-lived page errors with the message “ImportError: cannot import name DEFAULT_LOCALE_ENCODING”, but these went away after reloading the pages and/or restarting Apache.
